Vortex or Morrison springs come to mind.

It isn't deep, but OW diving is allowed in the Millpond.

45 minutes to Morrison, vortex or the gulf. Mill pond is great but shallow.

When my daughter was 12 or so, we did a dive in the millpond in 6 or 10 feet of water around some cypress trees. It was enough to keep her attention for 30+ minutes. Seems like we were on Edd's side not far from Shangri-la.

    Safe diving,

Before cave training, I had my kid diving outside of twin. If you can keep cave trim and buoyancy in shallow water, then it's easy in deep. Plus the bottom around the dock at twin is silty as hell so it's good training to not kick up silt, and good to see what happens when you do. With all the Cyprus knots and all it's also a good place to run lines.

Google Maps says downtown Marianna to downtown Panama City is 56 miles, 70 minutes.
