    The USN Dept of Sonar Research also had a working development site near downtown Orlando in a place called Ft. Gatlin.

    The sink still remains, but the project was decommissioned several yrs ago. It is still closed to diving but is no longer maintained ! I would not try getting permission from the city or the USN to dive it. But it does look inviting. I've often wondered what lay below the surface as there are 2 or 3 decent sized lakes nearby.

    Perhaps it may be diveable one day in the future ! Depends on the Orange County School District's educational plans .
