The Suwannee has crested as far south as Rock Bluff, but not at Manatee. It doesn't appear that it will get into the parking lot, so it should stay open.

We were tippy toeing on that concrete slab when we arrived, but by the time the picture was taken, we could stand on it, but that could have been tidal...

Here we are gearing up for our first dive on 3/7, standing on the concrete platform. Quite a difference in water depth!

Are you able to dive from Catfish to the head spring? I know the head is brown but can you make the dive.

It wouldn't be a good idea in any case. The line ends before the exit, and we usually depend on seeing daylight to get out of the cave. The water will be close to 40' deep at the exit now, and there won't be any daylight with that much tannic water over it.

Ok thanks. Wasn't sure if it was mixing in the cave or not. Just would be cool to see, but no worries won't be doin that.

Not at this time. The head spring was closed--so no traverse from Catfish....
