Default ASA making an impact on diving in Wakulla County

ASA is pleased to announce that many projects are now underway in Wakulla County. We now have several exploration and survey projects going on and about to start. We will be needing lots of help coming up and all members are encouraged to participate. We will be looking for surface support as well as in water team members. If you are survey savy, and have deep cave qualifications ( 300ft range ) we could use your help.

Some of the exploration projects include Indian Springs and 13 other springs and conduit connecting to Wakulla / Leon sinks. This work is to hopefully open up more diving in this area. There are more projects that we will announce publicly later. Once we start we will be trying to wrap these up in a timely manner so all help will be appreciated. You can pm me here if interested or steve@aquaticscienceassociation.org . We appreciate all the support .

What is the date and time frame?

We need to start ASAP. Some of us are already doing it, need to put the list of everyone together so we can give more accurate information to you guys.

Try to word this differently. GI3 also made an impact on diving in Wakulla County and we see how that turned out. If you guys are saying that only ASA members are invited to participate, then this is deja vu all over again.

John, you are pretty far off on this one. What part of this work is being done to open up more places to diving sounds like GI3? The whole mission of ASA is to make things public, so you missed this by a long shot.
Personally, I will not recommend anyone who isn't an ASA member for any dive team. Sorry but if you want the perks, pay the dues.?

Woah, I was trying to be sarcastic, didn't mean to hit a nerve.

This goes the same for our projects in Texas. The dues are menial next to the experience.

We have opportunities here for those dry cavers too!

Exactly. Wish I could come get enough time off to get out there for a few days. We need all kinds of help, not just divers but anyone that wants to help could.

Might want to tell the newer folks what the ASA is. Just a thought
