Headed down this week to do some cave diving heard GA was getting some rain.
Just wondering if it was enough to cause some alternate planning?
Any information is good.

I live in Alabama on the lower eastern corner. We have flooding in Geneva, 38 roads or so are closed and there's a river flood advisory out. 10 inches of rain have already fallen. I don't know exactly how Cave country is doing. South of us didn't get as much rain but just north got hammered even worse. Maybe someone who knows more of the local area down there will respond.
Lots of heavy rain in South GA. Keep an eye on the river guages

River gauge is still showing steady but with the amount of rain that's been coming through, and the fact that it's not letting up for another day or two, I'm guessing it will be a toss up at this time. There's been more rain in Alabama than in Florida but the Chipola is up 3 feet since Thursday and currently at just over 9 feet. And it's forecast to see almost 17 feet by the weekend. And the Chipola is more dependent on local rain than rain north of us. Cave country, on the other hand, responds to rain in S. Georgia. If S. Georgia has been getting as much rain as S. Alabama then my money is on blow outs.

Thanks for the reports.
We will have to dive accordingly.
Try to hit the river stuff we want first and see what happens.
The law of averages has to come into play one of these trips not since my first cave training have we been blown out.
That is pretty good.
The floods are good for the cave so it is all part of it!

Hey Cam, you guys take care and have fun. Don't let anything happen to Bobby lol I'm diving with him in April. Be careful on the drive, it's the most dangerous thing about cave diving.
It would really depend on the river cave... I know of a few that simply don't seem to want to blow out.
head to marianna... you can find some great river caves but if all goes to crap you can always get great dives on the pond.
We will get it done one way or another.
Have gear will travel if need be!

for what it is worth... we were on our way to madison saturday and driving over the suwannee on I-75, the water levels were very very low and we stopped by Pot spring on the withalachoochie which was also low and Pot spring was cranking out fresh clear water. Hopefully you will have a good trip!
