What do you folks in Cave Country think the weather is going to be like this weekend; I think the nearest reporting station is Gainesville and they are calling for scattered showers. Can someone give an educated guess?
I would love to come up this weekend as it is going to be gray and raining in Orlando. Plus I get to do a test run on my new CAVE mobile as my wife called it.

Jack, I got rid of that gas guzzler, I got a Honda Element 20+ MPG will be better than the 11 or so the Explorer got.

Got your messege here Curt.......That sounds like a good thing-! I like it. So, what are we doing-? ie: Lower OG & Cow sound ok-? or Lower OG, & then LR on the way home-? or Something closer in-?

I got one myself I coun't be happier. I considered the Matrix, but besides the MPG the Element is superior in any other aspect.

Do you take the seat out if you have two divers and gear or just flip them up? I would rather leave them in. That is the primary reason I bought it over the CR-v. The gear goes on the floor not drip down into the seats.

With two divers I can leave them in...with 3 or 4 divers + gear, the rear bench would probably come out to accomadate everything. The 'Element'.....that's the funny looking box car thingy that goes 'Beep-Beep' down the roads, right- That's cool though. Anything to save $$$

I traded my Dodge cargo van for one. Miss the room in the van, but really like the 28mpg over the road. If you don't have to take the seats out, you don't have enough gear.

I'm a minimalist if I don't need it I don't bring it. I used to fill the back of a Ford Ranger for two guys. Now I'm down to one big plastic bin for dry stuff and one for wet. Plus the tanks. I guess i'll get a scooter again if one comes along.

This philosophy has come in handy more than once as you always manage to have some back up gear for me when I have issues...



When are we diving again? I need to start planning for sidemount, too, in order to keep up with Cindy.
