Does anyone know the current conditions at Telford?

Scott at the Dive Outpost said it was kicking pretty good and that the vis was like 25' till you passed the next sink and it got better after that. He said that you could enter in thru the 2nd sink but in looked mucky and nasty but when he looked at it from underneath as he passed it, it seemed to only be maybe 20' of muck so you could enter in the 2nd sink. This is only what I was told but Scott is a very good diver and I trust his word.

Dove Telford this morning. Vis about 30', flow is up. I wouldn't go in via Terrapin, it looked down right nasty from below, I barely saw light as I passed by, had to cover my light and give my eyes a couple seconds to adjust to see any light at all at Terrapin, Telford sink looked good though.
The flow slackens up after Terrapin.

It's bad luck to be superstitious.

The basin/head pool is clearing up nicely and there is a strong boil. flow in the system is signifigant but if you know how to navigate this cave it is not a problem. Telford Sink is pretty clear with a green tinge looking up from the cave, Terrapin looks nasty, brown and dark although it has cleared a bit from yesterday (Sept. 7, 2005). Vis in the system has dropped since yesterday from 30ish to 20ft.

It's bad luck to be superstitious.

Now we just need the first cold snap to make the locals stay home. How was the trash dumpster? Did it get emptied yet?

Nope Trash dumpster still full and overflowing. I was surprised to see that the locals have been putting their trash and empties - need the dumpster. I was there today and last weekend and the Dumpster looked like it had al ot less piled up on top so maybe some locals hualed off some of the mess 'cause I looked around the dumpster and it had not be pushed off the top to the ground. But it is bad and needs to be emptied bad.

I dove telford on Sunday late afternooon still garbage all over and vis is low in the system. It looked like it might clear alittle after Terrapin. It had a good flow going also.
