    I've seen it at the top of the breakdown room where the depth is about 15' -- clear on either side but right at the top it was like milk mixed with the water with vis down to 5' or less.

    Yep that's what this stuff was like. It's pretty cool when you think about the biology involved in keeping the bacteria alive in total darkness.

    Actually from an evolutionary biology standpoint the opposite is true. The fact that bacteria can thrive in high oxygen areas of light is much more impressive. The most fundamentally basic forms of bacteria and single called organisms that are likely the sources of all life came from deep dark places.

    Places where there isn't a lot of ceiling relief,ie break down and peanut restriction,water from permeates very quickly,and leaves a white cloud.

    OK , now about the last 400 feet of Wishbone is tanic on the bottom , white then clear at the top. It not just the last 100 feet or so anymore (smile).

    Hmm, it's spreading then! Of course I don't recall it being clear at the top. All I recall is not being able to see much further than my hand.

    May not be spreading on its own,but threads like this generate interest,and increases traffic may be having a result.

    Hmm that's a good point. People could be transporting it from one place to another allowing it to take hold. It won't be good if it takes over the cave.
