Default Ok lets try this again :)

Ok, well the first report did not go so well hahahah so lets try this again. First my posting this is to just share in my joy of something new, so if you have any issues please remember I am high on life (I don't hail from Washington or Colorado). Anyway, after finally pleasing our very patient and knowledgable instructor with our progress in the doubles training that was outside of our cavern class not one in the same though we did practice running lines and air sharing with doubles first to break the duldrums of just finning around the open water section out side the ballroom but to also get us task loaded so we could keep our trim and boyancy. We then began the fun, we got twisted and tortured, lights out share air, bump and run exit, run lines in the cavern and then out in and out till we got it right, then do it again to be sure. I loved it when (in open water) my wife purged her reg in my mouth as she jammed it in but I got her back on my turn of course no ton purpose.

Then our last dive of the day we got to go back into the cavern and just look around, well that is so amazing how the air pockets in the pockets of the rock shimmers like a disco ball, and swimming up to the grate and it blowing you back into one of the catfish that just look at you like whats this guys deal....

Anyhow it is amazing (may have said that already) and I understand why all of you that work so hard to keep land owner relations and the conditions of the water and lands in good order do work so hard. And I want to say thank you for all your hard work and hope that we my wife Didi and I can help to keep this available for years to come (probably will not have much money as is will be spent on training and gear but will have some blood, sweat and tears to offer).

Hope this is a bit better understood than my last post, just wanted to share this so if someone else is considering some cavern or intro training they know it is well worth it and it is much better to get the training and enjoy the cave over and over than to pass the training and maybe only see it once.

The best is yet to come, you'll understand the addiction soon.
Be sure to have enough time to do some non-training just relaxing fun dives, even if you have to cut short your training goal and have to come back to finish

Harvey, there was nothing wrong with your first post. Some people just wound to tight or like to argue. You just gotta be like Stiffler from American Pie when he quoted Ron Jeremy. If you're not familiar, google it.

I think it's awesome that you are having a great time.

Katie and I are in High Springs for the weekend. Send me a message if you wanna meet up with us for dinner tomorrow evening. It would be a lot of fun hearing your stories from the class as well as share some from ours.

And think, you've only scratched the surface

You'll really end up liking this group of people also (well most). I've been involved in many hobbies and found no other group like cavers (wet or dry).

Congratulations Harvey and Didi. Good to hear your training is going well and definitely keep posting your updates. You can definitely hear the enthusiasm in your writings. I still look forward to each dive and always remember to have fun! I am driving up to Ginnie this morning for some weekend diving so hopefully I will see you around.

BTW - Cave divers are very polite in cave county, they just get cranky when they spend more time on the internet than they do diving.

Sorry, some people on here make judgements, without waiting, or even asking for details. They have run off some very capable new divers that way

Thanks, oh and don't worry (well maybe you may need to worry) after seeing just a small piece of the underworld and meeting some great people it would take much more to run us off. We are already looking at the calendar for some more diving down here or even a trip to mexico with one of the shops. Plus I have been lurking round the board for enough now that I see who is who sort of and while things definitly get heated over all its a good social network and some very knowledgeable people, I don't believe everything I read or see on the internet lol except for my last date who said she was a french swim suit model hahah

You know its funny I asked my instructor about safety stop ediqutte and realizing that you do not want to block the exit/entrance I inquired as to if I would get socked in the nose for touching someone (or their wife) on a safety stop. I sort of envisioned a bunch of catfish hiding under wone rock. He said that barring an exception in the water everyone understands what it is. Hahah and no its not a chance for free grabs on the hot women divers
