Looks like someone dove it on the 14th. You can read their condition report at http://www.tampaboating.com/sections...stem.asp?ID=61

You can drive right in. The spring is used by fisherman now to launch boats, so be careful.

And when the gate is closed you can still dive it, there is a sign that says diva at your own risk, so that to me means no one cares if you dive it or not.

dove there this past Saturday (8/20) and the gate was open when we got there (11am) and still open when we went back to retrieve some forgotten flip-flops ('bout 10pm). Looks like at one time there was some sort of concession stand & an air "fillz" station but that part is just a ghost town now. Bathrooms are open though & there is running water to rinse off with.

I was there Sunday (the 21st). There were about thirty locals, and one team of six divers. Plus three of us.

Visibility was about one foot, down to about 12' deep. Below that, vis was 100' plus.

The river being about six feet higher than normal, the flow out of the lower cavern was the lowest I've ever seen it. It made for a nice cavern dive.

Yeah...That was my fault. I was a little sloppy with my SQL and but my server in a loop. It is back up now!
