I'm game and willing to do leg work. Maybe we need a poll and a separate thread dedicated to this idea.

I'm partial to donations to ICURR or DAN. If we get enough maybe they'll do something big in his name?

Edd will be receiving PSAI's Heroic Service Award (times 3) during the conference at the 2012 DEMA Show. PSAI is proud to have Edd as an Instructor Trainer Evaluator.

Perhaps the most cogent question. Years ago I actively recruited Edd to PSAI because of his keen analytical mind, obsession with providing quality, and honest respect for others. This kind of person as an instructor, (instructor trainer, etc.) is the force needed to shape and create competent divers. Those that have not acheived competency or are likely to be a menace to themselves or others should not be granted certifications. I am aware of several people that Edd has witheld certifications from for these kinds of reasons.

Why no awards to divers that save divers?
And if not from the CDS or CA, why not from divers organizing among themselves.
PSAI has a Meritorious Service Award and a Heroic Service Award.

Caves in the Mill Pond will forever be known as the local haunt for this great man.
Previous to Edd's exploits, I was only aware of Scott Hunsucker's and Woody Jaspers' successful diver rescues in the overhead environment. With 4 live rescues, this is the makings of perhaps a future legend.

There is no higher calling than the saving of a life. Usually, this activity is limited to medical professionals, Fire Rescue Teams, ambulance personnel, etc. Edd's contributions to his fellow man in this respect is certainly to be greatly respected.

Guys I have thought about what you have said. Being a friend of Edds I can say this. He appreciates any sentiment built prefers a thank you over anything else. That being said, a thank you plaque for the shop might mean something or several volunteer to wash and wax the planes he would love!! Lol

    Kevin,
I'll sign off the annual, you wash the thing

I like the bronze statue thing myself (or something similar) that would last a long time and be seen by a whole lot of people

Yea, anything to show support. Maybe by putting something at JB, it will make divers think twice after seeing wat he has had to do....so its a win win
