That may be it. Regardless, the man has put himself in danger to help folks that he wouldnt know if he passed them at the gas station. I think we could easily come up with something to show our appreciation to him.

I think it would be a great to read a book that edd wrote from personal experiences rescues and otherwise! His account ls of things are always vivid and always drive home a safety point and most of the time a fair bit of humor as well!

I all seriousness, I'll donate $50 to buying some form of appreciation gift for him, whether it be some kind of plaque or whatever I have no idea.
Somebody else who is better at doing this kind of thing than I am step forward and collect the money and pick the gift or whatever it should be called?

I'd be in for 50$ as well. If we get enough folks we could do an edd appreciation day? Just a cookout with some good people and relaxing day in his neck of the woods?

it's an awesome idea...only challenge is that there are a great number of people that could not make it to Marianna to do it....a surprise party in Abaco would be great...Stacy for sure would trick him somehow....but it's tough for the so many who benefit from Edd who can't personally participate. Thoughts?

We could do the plaque thing but it's a bit too formal for edd? Possibly? If we got a banner of some sort with a cave arrow or something of that nature we could include everyone. A few people in various parts of the world could volunteer some time and shipping. Post dates and shops to sign at and do it that way? At the signing events take a collection of monetary donations if people want to and donate to DAN or the ICURR?

you don't even have to send it around....we could do a couple of things...1) digital age makes it a beautiful thing - digitally transpose signatures and wishes, 2) each person could write his/her couple words on paper and put it on a big banner of some sort.....there's plenty of ways to show some Edd love.
I don't know if anyone else wants it....I like the donation idea.
