I just got back from a weekend up there and missed this incident but ran into a lot of really good people up there (and Kevin ).
It would have been a terribly sad ending to a nice weekend. Edd deserves all the accolades and way more but since there is no loss of life or serious injury, I can focus on "WHY THE HELL DOES IT KEEP HAPPENING?"

This situation is really bad, these caves are marked very well. If you get lost there then cave diving might not be the hobby for you. On another note, in eight foot tallare cave I had to get on the line at JB on Saturday due to people who can't ride scooters. This stupid behavior needs to stop. Dont dive above your level.

We were the exiting team Sunday & voluntarily got out of the way of two inbound scooters. But with all that left side cave I wonder why they didn't scoot around us instead of right through our team of two pulling a reel. Not upset, just wondering?

Confirmed the diver was out of gas. Morgan, its because people dont think and a lot of instructors dont teach!!
