Too bad this type of diver is in the cave. While I didn't witness this team I have witnessed many (too many) divers that continually use one finger into the bottom to steady themselves . I guess the thinking here is that by only using one finger makes them a really good diver ... They may be thinking to themselves " geez, did you see that guy using his entire hand to steady himself?"

this is one small example of a much bigger problem - people diving beyond their limits and training. It seems to me that it's a well understood fact (fact: something that can be proven true or false) that divers who die in caves often have exceeded their training/capability. I think we've all done it once. Some of us twice. Some of us throw caution to the wind and blatantly disregard all warnings. Some percentage of those die in caves (or worse, take someone else). There are full cave divers who should not be full cave divers, apprentice and intro divers diving circuits and other complex navigation, and divers without proper buoyancy inside silty caves. I have a long, long way to go before I'm a perfect diver and I welcome criticism. The most important thing to me is awareness - of my own ability and limits, how it impacts the cave system and those around me, and my comfort. This past weekend I asked my dive buddy(ies) after each dive certain things. Thankfully they were upfront and I know some of what I need to continuously work on. I will do my best.

Was it a white "raper" van? You know how I like to pick on my favorite dive buddy.

Nah, Unfortunately, T.Bix doesn't spend enough time in Florida, and he actually cancelled his 10 day trip here last week.
Plus, he doesn't suck at buoyancy.
That's twice in two weeks I got stood up. Bastards!
