Hands in the clay should be long gone by intro. I am sorry about your experience, Richard. I commented to my buddies on Friday about all the handprints in Peacock.
I hope these divers are quickly identified and their denial obliterated by facts. Thanks for posting.

Did you see what kind of van they were driving prior to getting wet? Or even better the license plate state!!! Your right, no excuse for that kind of diving....

Reading this makes me want to post a public "thank you" to Steve White, German Yanez, Danny Riordan, and David Rhea for making danged sure that I was a much better diver than what you describe.

Hummm, how did you know it was a van? I would not worry too much about them returning to OG at this time they are more than likely heading to Cow. Really sad stuff.

Hey Trey weren't you and Mike at OG yesterday?

JamesK: Sorry I missed diving with you again. did you use the Itova or the GoPro to video? Care to share it after editing. Take care.

Pretty sure it was a white van, but didn't look at the license plate. There was a group that had pulled up as well though that hadn't been in the water yet, so I can't say the van wasn't theirs.

It really was shocking. I've seen some bad divers in the caves so far, but this took the cake. Just sheer disregard for the fact that the clay doesn't need a handprint in it. I wouldn't have posted this if it was a one time occurrence. I would have chalked it up to a simple screw up. But it was very evident it was much more serious than that. These guys shouldn't have been in the cave. They're going to hurt someone or themselves.

When we were all floating in the basin one guy said, "I hope we didn't stir it up to bad for you." I responded with "well actually you kind of did" which was going to lead into a long but respectful tirade on damaging the cave and endangering others, but my girlfriend gave me the "please don't start this now" look so out of respect for her comfort I dropped it. I think they may have gotten the hint a little bit. It probably would have been a very awkward few mintues of us all on the stairs gearing down had I said what I had hoped to say. They seemed like nice guys, just clueless to how dangerous their actions were.

Good to go Trey...that is the manner that I taught you. That way you dispurse your weight so you do not push too deep. So Mike has a white van?

It's ok. We will make it happen some day. I used both. Helmet mounted the GoPro and used a Goodman Handle with my Intova and lights.

Once I get it edited I will post some.

highjack time: Finished another dive at the quarry today with the Intova. Problem I seem to have is that while trying to get the entire view, the distance awat needs to be rather large and the water + silt seems to eat the light. Have you tried the wide angle lens made for the Intova? Now back to your reg. stationed thread.
