Default Submerge (Rodney and Suzie) takes care of customers

I don't normally post about experiences that I have had in the dive industry, since most are positive when dealing with the brands who focus on tech diving, but this time was over the top.

I was in a bind with a need for a UV18 tube and I needed a UV18 battery. They made the process easy to buy a tube that he had handy for a good price and offered one of their own UV18 battery packs for me to use since I plan to build my own LiFE pack instead of buying new lead acids. I had mentioned a new shroud while there and before I could blink, Suzie had put a new one on and had it back together. Rodney took some extra time to look at the two motors I had and verified that they looked good and were their own versions of the motor. They also took time to talk about battery technologies that they are working on and testing and showed me some of their new ideas. Both of them are very knowledgeable and at the same time very personable.

My wife and child got to talk with Suzie and Zale for a bit to which my wife said... "I like them, can we swing by here more often?"

Again, I want to publicly say "Thanks" to Submerge for helping to make my weekend of OW diving go smoothly and be more enjoyable.

BTW this all was done for someone who had two "older" DPVs not new ones by any means.

Maybe 10 years ago I complained to Rodney about the slow speed of my UV-18 in ocean current. He met me at Dutch Springs, we scootered side-by-side, and when the dive was over he switched out my motor for a faster turning one. No charge, just a smile.

It's pretty much been that way with their service ever since. Actually, we just emailed each other today with a question on the balancing of my Minnus.

Good quality + good service + hands-on people! The world needs more of them.

Rebreathers are something that we have to go to in order to dive the way we want to dive. They are not something we go to for any other reason.

I had an issue with my Magnus battery, they fixed it with no problems and kept assuring me they would stand behind it if there were any problems.
This thread and the one about LM is the reason I will sometimes pay more for a possibly inferior performing product, because the service after the sale and bullet proof reliability last far longer than a cheaper price, and or possibly superior "paper" performance.
I'm not saying my Magnus is either inferior or of low performance, but the service I got from SS would make me buy it again even if it were

I broke my UV-26 at Ginnie one day...was there and fixed it while I watched ... I had to give Evie $ because Suzie would not accept a dime.

    They rock!!

Evie fixed my Tekna at Devil's Eye once, I guess it is a "family" policy
It was a smart move, because I sold the Tekna, and have had 3 SS scooters since then (4 if you count the Viper upgrade).

they sent me a uv-18 body to go with the batteries I got from edd. no big deal right? except I called them from the road on my way to edd and the body was overnighted to edd's. not one missed minute of diving.

He was very patient with an email to help me recover from a ding I put in my N19 tube at the sealing face. Then, he sent an email to check if I had fixed it. At that point I had taken a run at it but hadn't gotten any results. Finally on the phone, he talked me thru the procedure. Later that night I did it and though I haven't tested it, it looks like it will be fine.

    Thanks Rodney.
