    Thumbs up Shout Out for Light Monkey's Service...WAY after Sale!

    MODS, feel free to move this if its in the wrong place...I just wanted it to get the most views. It was important to me.

    Summary: my 7 year old Salvo NiMh battery died. POS Called Light Monkey and they custom made me a lithium battery and charged it with about 5 hours notice. Problem: I gave them the inside dimensions, not the outside. So, no worries. They handed me a different battery off the shelf. THEN they replaced my switch boot and cord while I waited. Next, Joel machined the new groove on the light head. Then, Ted rigged some unusual new way of clipping off the light to see if I liked it. Finally, they all but gave me a Beer Glass w/the LM logo on it. Last, they custom made me another battery for a Halcyon light I have. This is not the first time they have given me better than expected service--but the first time was about 6 years ago. As Joel and I discussed, the only other place I have seen this level of service has been Submerge.

    I could go on, but won't. Anyone that knows me knows I don't gush often, but when I do. Its for real!

    I hope anyone looking to make a light purchase considers this level of after the sale service to be worth a few bucks more. If you dont, best of luck.

    I have a Hollis 16 and just so happens that LM had sidemount conversion that would fit Hollis light. Great service and quality work.

    Had a similar experience with a can light that was way out of warranty (bad igniter). They fixed it for free and fast.

    These guys are awesome - and get's all my business!

    Here, here! I asked Corey a question about something that "seemed funny" and I had an RMA label almost before I hung up.

    Just recently, I bought a used, kind-of-beat-up Salvo, and Light Monkey did free diagnostics, recommended the cheapest course of action, and gave me information on the "next step" when the battery goes. Way to take care of the customers, Light Monkey!

    They just made another light for me and shipped on a days notice after I left my 21W HID on in the back of my truck and melted it... No issues putting together a light and battery to match my older ones so that they are all interchangeable even though they are not stock items now. Always great service. Now I just have to send the 21W back to see what the repair will be. Surprisingly the light still worked, although the reflector was a mess and I doubt it is still waterproof.

    I flooded my Light Monkey on a really bad dive here in South Africa. Rusted away the battery and switch. Emailed Corey at Light Monkey. No problem. I shipped it to them UPS and a week later it's fixed. Being delivered back to me in Cape Town South Africa tomorrow. Well done guys.
