    ALUMINUM 72's HAVE ARRIVED

Any one who has purchased an AL 72 from Cave Excursions East can come by and pick them up.

Thanks to everyone for your patience while we got the order together.

    Default Why al72

What is special about these cylinders? I have two older AL 72 that are just a little smaller than 80s (not floaters) are these the same?

I got mine yesterday, rigged one up and went diving. The bouyancy and slimmer profile made quite a difference. It didn't feel like an anchor on my side.

I'm rigging my other one up tighter and will be diving it tonight.

    Wayne:

What's the difference in size and bouyancy characteristics between the 72's and the 80's?

By the way, ask Lee to contact me. I've gotten no replies to the last E-mails that I've sent him.

Man, I dove one last night as a stage/buddy bottle and it rocked, rode really high and tight and the buoyancy characteristics are excellent.....

Default What do they look like

Are these just a little shorter and skinnier than an 80?

Not really shorter (okay, it's 1/10th of an inch shorter), but it's skinnier (6.89" diameter versus 7.25" for an 80).

All the specs are at http://www.luxfercylinders.com/produ...imperial.shtml .

    Russell

P.S. This is assuming these are Luxfers.
