Jay, if you didn't preorder them from us, we don't have any available....

However, we are taking orders for another batch (we need a minimum of 42 to order from Luxfer). On this last batch, the price was $120 per tank (without a valve).....you can contact myself, Wayne or Jim for more details. Hope this helps

Here's just a friendly reminder on the Al 72's the ones with a "Y" prefix in the serial number are the ones you want. not the ones with a "Z" The Z series are not desirable for anything. Also the al-72's are only an advantage if you have a sac rate of .45 or below. and if the whole team is using them. otherwise you had best just use them for deco bottles, not for stages.

just 2 cents worth from someone who's been diving them for 10 years

    Default z or y

What does the letter denote? floater or non? Or the Alloy?

no, the alloy used depends on the vintage, the Z series are only 2400psi working pressure, and are very buoyant. to the point of being dangerous.

    Default Thats what I thought

Yes those floaters are scary. I have two older al 72s that are like the ones you are talking about. I like them very much they just seem a little more compact then the 80s. Do keep in mind that if you are using one as a buddy and your back gas is say pumped 104s then one third is more than your total buddy so total gas loss at max would be a problem.

thats why all the Ginnie divers like Rich love the Al72s for buddy bottles. because in ginnie a 30 minute swim in, loss of backgas at max penetration only means a 7-9 minute swim back out in that flow the rule of 3rds in ginnie is quite funny. you use 1/3rd on the swim in...and maybe 1/16th on the way out haha
