    Default Madison - 08/12/2012

Dove Madison this morning (Sun). 10-20 foot of vis from Cavern about the jump to Martz. Then the great vis showed up (40-60 feet + ) just after Martz jump. Flow was up (not ripping but just up). Made it up to Rocky Horror and turned on 1/3's. Practically FLEW OUT !!! ( lol ).
About 50 minutes going upstream and about 20 minutes coming out.

The WORST part of the whole dive was the gnats. There were swarming something fierce. I had to wear a towel around my head.

All in all , very pleasant in the water. IT was the gearing up and tearing down that was the tough part.

And Lunch at Red Onion , of course!

    Thanks!
    Beano

    Off I-10 or I-75?

And what's the Madison Ranger's name... I keep forgetting it and it's been too long and he's been too super friendly to ask.

The gnats were horrible. We wanted to do a second dive but just didnt feel like gnats in our eyes and mouth.

It appears we had the same dive weekend planned as Jean. Informal meeting at peacock and formally introduced at madison.
