I have a 9mm Berretta CX4 storm, you couldn't pay me to submerge it.
As far as shooting underwater, I know a 45 only goes a few feet from when my dad would use power heads spearfishing (because of this he cant do any type of diving anymore! )

I personally carry a Glock .40 S&W and it is very accurate and I have Krypton night sights on it also. As for concealment, I have no problem 'cause me are a fat arse and I can hide it well LOL.
The Glock 9mm has a kit to fire and cycle underwater (special protective gear required) but don't try it with the 40 cal - it'll blow (or something equally unpleasant).

I was ridge walking one time near High Springs on open land when I all the sudden heard a gun go off just on the other side of the brush. It turns out I was ridge walking on opening day of deer hunting season! Not a good plan! I never did see a deer but they were shooting the h*** out of the woods. I check that now before I go out. Also a lot of hunting preserves will let you on the land if it's not hunting season but will not even talk to you about during hunting season because they are afraid you will scare away game.
I won't get into a huge discussion on it but some of these guys feed and put salt out for the deer year round to attract them. There hunting towers are visable from state parks. At one park the horse back riding trails have to be closed during deer hunting season because some of the riders have been shot at. Places like San Falasco and O'leno are just too urban to have hunting around them but they continue the practice. So do be carefull around hunting season even on private land and parks that you have permission to go in. Cindy
Damn if that doesn't bring back fond memories of opening day in the Ocala National Forrest. The last place you wanted to be was on the ground moving about as the fools there shot at anything that moved or sounded like it was moving. The riders from the stables next to Citrus WMA in Inverness used to stage anti-hunting rides there. Sitting on my tree stand during archery season one year and saw a good lokking girl go riding by butt naked.

Gees you men are so violent! Let put that energy toward something a little more contructive. Say a nice clean up someplace. You can shoot the logs or cans before picking them up if you really have too. Cindy

Do you think I'm crazy? I'm not going anywhere near a cleanup with a bunch of those gun nuts!

Cindy, nice to meet you at LD steps! JE has shown me his decades-old nearby discovery (see CFL forum). I have collected all the preliminary info on that spot and passed it to JE. If you would be willing to move forward with it (i'm kinda afraid to scare the lanowners with my English) I'm asking to reserve a spot in a team/mission, I promise to do my best, please? Hey, I did get Jacks message and am checking with the Florida Cave Survey to see if it is a known sink. If it's not then I will head out there soon to talk to the owners. I'll let you know. Thanks, Cindy
