We went to Peacock yesterday and had the whole park to ourselves. We did the grand traverse. This was the best grand traverse I have ever done! The cave has changed so much after the flooding. There is lots of silt on the rocks, everything looks dusty and... rusty. Wherever there's a dome, you should look up. There is tannic water in the ceiling and if you hover up... it's lights out even with my 2600 Lumen LED mod from uw light dude. There are also many boogers and snot around... and it was not all from Bobby's sinuses! Vis is 20-30 ft. The stretch from Olsen to Challenge seems undived for a while and vis gets lower there (10 -20 ft). Little flounders and a big fish have been carried from the flood and died in the cave. I saw white spots the shape of a flounder and a big fish that was half dissolved. We got out in the rain but the mosquitoes were still merciless! I think they have mutated.

Friday 8/10 ...P1 basin quite clear with water covering 4 steps making in and out very easy. Both Main Line and Peanut Line had fair vis of about 40'. Some very dark water up high and in the domes. Cross Over Tunnel required staying lower to the floor in some areas. Highly agree with Xenia about the cave having changed since the flood...it feels different. We enjoyed it alot and there were several other divers there.
