Which caves can you solo dive?

Careful now, or we will begin believing RB's are safer than OC
Well at least in some cases its pretty obvious that more gas wouldn't have done a damn bit of good since the deceased persisted in going the wrong direction or something like that. Or they actually had gas remaining and died anyway.

Most caves don't have policies either way. Of the tourist caves that have gates, Little River, Ginnie, and Jackson Blue don't prohibit Solo.

You may be right, but if they knew they had plenty of gas and drowning wasn't a concern for a long time, then maybe they would have been less panicked and would have figured out they were going in the wrong direction. Of course another hours worth of gas might have just gotten them even deeper, who knows? That's the point, who knows?

Accidents are usually almost always a chain of events, and all of the chain has to occur for there to be an accident, let one link be missing, no accident

On edit, it's the ones that had gas remaining that puzzle me the most unless of course they lose contact with that gas supply, as long as there is gas to breathe, there is hope, right?

Nope, hope doesn't have to be a logical thought process. Remember Air France Flight 447 where the pilot said "Oh my God, we're going to crash. I can't believe it." nearly a minute before crashing, but never thought to point nose down?

Doesn't matter. Those that went even deeper are dead regardless.

Sounds like someone has been hanging around Bil too much. You, made a great point. I have so much time to deal with problems, the only thing I have to worry about is deco obligation and the amount of gas if I have to bail off my rebreather.

All this talk about going solo reminds me of Woody Allen's description of his "first" experience. "I was gentle. I was loving. I was... Alone!"

My name is Dan Anderson and my last solo dive was yesterday.

Some people panic and/or give up.
