    Default The view at Ginnie

I just got home from3 days of diving at Ginnie. The diving was great and the viz was gin clear. The view during my surface interval was mighty fine too. Wayne at Amigos treated me especially well,as usual. I can't wait to get back next month.

Just wait until your on deco and you see girls in bikinis snorkeling... most of the time for some reason my deco ends up being twice as long

It's only "twice as long" due to the magnifying effect of masks under water.

Did anyone ever tought of putting a web cam in Ginnie, put a Go pro in the Eye and run a cable to the office so it could be hooked up to the net. Maybe we could divert some of the money we get from coke in Peacock. Now that would boost public awarness for cave diving. It was amazing how ladie waterpolo got more attention when they broadcast all the swimsuit pulling underwater just a tought

This thread is worthless without pics.

No milkiness today on mainline to about 2500', a touch of milkiness in the Big Room (but pretty much what it's been last few months), but it did seem the flow might be up a touch (or maybe I'm imagining things). Still no where near "normal" Ginnie flow.

River is up at least in flow amount. Last Wednesday (6/13), there was a wall of tannic (cloudy tannic) water against the river side of the Ear's opening. Today (monday 6/18), there is cloudy tannic over the Ear and about 6' from the Ear's opening toward the Eye. The spring blow was punching a clear circle in the tannic cloud over the Ear. Crystal clear water in the ear starts at 8' depth.
