Dove Clear Cut today downstream to Cream and back.
Area has had a bit of rain in last 10 days (upwards of 12" in places). This same section all the way south to Promise was nearly cracklin' 5 weeks ago.
Today:
Clear Cut Sink is warm to 20' depth and low vis (3-5') down to 32' depth in basin. Multiple sulfur/smokey layers in basin. Clear at start of mainline/bottom corner of "platform." 40-50' vis just downstream of Clear Cut, milky, tinge of green or possibly slightly tannic. Noticeable flow, up since my last dive here in May, flow slightly increased downstream of Wood Sink (in the shallower section). Further downstream we went the vis improved to 70'ish and milkiness decreased. All sinks downstream of Clear Cut to/including Cream appeared clear to the surface.
I was expecting much worse after all the rain, but so far, any decrease in vis has not impacted ability to dive this section of Leon and appreciate its beauty.
