    The water does not even have to come from that plateau, it could be coming from a more distant feature than that nearby plateau...hell, the bulk of the water could be coming from an area of higher elevation on the other side of the island.

    That is what I wonder, since the spring never stops flowing even after months with no rain seems weird to me.

    Do you have a general location you could point out on a regional topo map? That might tell us more than trying to verbally describe it.
