The plastic chemical barrels I use are stronger than steel depending on what you are planning to do with them. (Chemicals were inside a plastic liner to they are not toxic.) Just s thought since they dont rust.Originally Posted by Gibby

Not worried about rusting. My concern is pressure build up. The steels will hold up better to pressure than plastic drums.

Around the panhandle area, Panacea, St. Marks, Carrabelle, etc. there are many blue plastic barrels, 60 gl. I think that I used to use to carry fuel for long fishing trips. There were used for carrying Apple juice originally. I've probably got 55 gl. steel drums laying around the plant here in Albany laying around, but they have been used for Acetone and or other obnoxious chemicals. I have them that have removable tops and one that the tops are not removable. We normally re-use them for hazardous waste, sometimes we buy them new, cost is about $40. I could bring one down and leave it at Edd's for you , but driving my Dually as opposed to the Prius would cost more in fuel than the stupid drum is worth.
If it has anything at all to do with breathing out of, I would get me a new one.
Of course, why didn't I think of that. A recompression chamber for cats. Are you starting C.A.N.? Cat Alert Network? Genius Rob, pure genius!

John, after the cat in the air pocket thread it got me thinking...we need to have some way to revive the cat for future use. If we continue to take cats with us to test air we will eventually run out of cats. And I don't think ________ (insert your favorite or not so favorite foreign country) will be willing to give up their appetizers.
I think I've got things arranged for one to be transported to me at the CDS Workshop. Thanks everyone!
