Bleh, I say we rent a couple of the boats from good ol' Edd and have a cooler full of beer and a grill on one of them. After the day of diving, we just do a twilight party cruise of the pond...

but whatever, i'm down for anything that is "planned"...

I just assumed that anything called "anti-social" would be opposite of a planned social event...

Now you're talking. A booze cruise with a grill is all we need. We can tie two or three of the pontoon boats together and have a blast. There's plenty of bathrooms all around the boats!

    Default Look out joe

Watch yourself Joe, it sounds like John L wants to get cozy on the twilight cruse. If anybody on shore hears some squealing, John got lucky and Joe got a husband.

You don't have to be jealous Rich. You're still the best!

    Default NO ORGANIZED ANYTHING WORKS...

...other than the dates . Lets leave it simple : find accomodations(motel/camp), show up , team up , dive when ya want , dive again if you want , eat/rest on your own schedeule , hook up with a pontoon if you want, FREE BEER @ CAVE ADVENTURERS(thanks Edd), Roshambo challenges 24/7 and a new event a NO HOLDS BARRED-NO TIME LIMIT match between the "SID" and "HERBIVOROUS" . That weekend we can decide on who/when you want to eat , sleep, dive with etc.. maybe we agree on joint BBQ an afternoon , maybe a campfire/bs session one evening etc... As far as JB entrance fees its no different than diving at Ginnie or Peacock: cave diving equals $. Good times and dives with good people free of any organized bs. My three cents worth, oh yeah I did hear some loud squealing last time I was at Waynes World ... did someone think "Tegg ?!" :P

Thanks, Herbie, for getting this thread back on track.

So Herbie votes for an unorganized event, like last year's. What does everyone else want?

Here's some information I got from Margaret at the County Commissioners Office:

We can rent the pavilion next to the spring from 8am until dark for $32.50. This fee may be waived if we have a lot of divers. All divers will have to pay the usual $25, or have an annual pass. Non-divers will pay $2.00 per person.

The big thing is, the restrooms will be open!

The date I talked about is October 22.

If any non-divers want to get in the water, we will have to have a lifeguard present at $7.50/hour. But in October, folks probably won't want to swim.

As always, no open-water diving allowed.

I'm headed out of town for the week, so when I get back, hopefully we will have had enough discussion on this board to make a decision.

    That's CHEAP.

IMHO we'd be nuts not to do it.... and $2/pp is their "swimming" charge, which is also very reasonable.

    I'm for it.
