    Default Wayne's World

    Thanks everyone for the candor.

I will wait for Oct or November when the rains let up. It looks like I'm
gonna hav' ta do an Ocean Cave, which is in 130' and is a wave cut terrace formation. It is called Hole in The Wall, out from Jupiter.

Great Dive! I have to stay occupied till the springs clear.

Thanks once again for all the info.

    Ken:

The one and only time I tried to do that dive, it was like bath water on the surface. The boat guide holding the float ball went down in a shorty wetsuit to show us where it was. My buddy and I were wearing a 2-piece 3mm wetsuit with no hood that we had wore at Andros and Chub Cay. About 50' - 60' down during the descent, the water suddenly turned very cold. The boat guide abandoned us and headed for the surface. We managed to endure the cold water just long enough to reach the hole-in-the-wall entrance, then we headed for the surface. We later found out that there had been an upwelling of cold water from the deep water offshore and that the water temperature was 58 degrees. Brrr!

Wayne's World needs a good 2 - 3 weeks of no rain in that area before the visibility is decent enough to have an enjoyable dive. When the conditions are right, 25' - 30' visibility is the norm.
