I like the idea but it should be something related to the sport. For example:
- running with full gear and stages till one falls
- scooter dog-fight including chikin game (this would require u/w set of rows of chairs for public in a large cavern like JB)
- both adversaries bare (swimsuit allowed) stand at a deck in Peacock till one falls dead from mosquito bites
- each opponent stick AL80 in crotch and start filling EAN32 from transport cylinders who not chikin -wins

All these are two easy deaths. they should caged naked covered in hot melted butter and given just over-sized meat tenderizing hammers to fight with. Then the victor can eat the loser. This way they can die the way they post. Alone, naked and covered with an edible lubricant.

I think I may be a CDF Manchurian canidate. Once I lost all memory for 3 hours at Ginnie. It wasn't the queen of hearts that set me off but rather seeing a EE card with 5 refills left on it.

Do not confuse Moderating with Censorship I say ok maybe ban offensive language a bit (although who cares, and who does not use offensive language? Maybe the Dalai Lama or the pope but every single one of us does) but do not ban people form the forum though.

Criticism is OK and deserved in a lot of cases. Spirited discussion is what makes the forums interesting. It is blatantly obvious which posters are lacking in maturity as they post remarks to people that they would never have the balls to say to them in person.

Civility is a must. If you can't format an intelligent response without name calling, insulting or inciting then there are other forums or old "lists" to play on.
Be creative but civil!

I think that the CDF, as it is, is very well moderated. It has a higher signal to noise ratio than any other forum I've been on. There's always a balance to be struck between over-moderation and a free-for-all, and I think that the CDF hits it about right. Most folks realize that the less civil you are, the less credibility you have, so the occasional episodes of incivility tend to be self-correcting. I'm not a moderator, (or an immoderator, like Shirley!) but a forum that lets people be who they are (within very wide limits) is a lot more informative than one that's either too lightly or too tightly moderated.
