Kelly posted this earlier this morning. I'm interested to hear from divers who've gone in since.

I spoke to two divers who went in recently and they said it was still pretty bad. They turned the dive due to the lack of visibility.

Has anyone dived Madison yesterday or today? Or diving it tomorrow?

We dived it last Friday and it was 20-30' viz at best and very silty with tons of percolation the line was burried in spots but intact as far as we could tell. We only went about a hundred feet past the jump to Martz and took a good look at the Godzilla jump which was about two or so feet deep in new silt. The basin was decent but not great and the flow was about what it was in January when we were there.

we dove cow, little river, madison, and telford this past wednesday (18th) and thursday (19th). lots of duck weed in cow, limited flow meaning the ski rope isn't needed, and great viz. little river was also low flow and great viz, we made it easily to the dome room moving at a snails pace with bm 108's.

madison has about 25 ft of viz, silt covers everything, and lots of percolation. we went about 1400 to 1600 up the mainline, passing the jump for potters and rocky horror. the first 500 feet is the worst for silt, but it gets better the further you swim. the ranger said we were the first people in three weeks to do a full dive, everyone else has been saying how bad the viz was. seems like it may be improving?

telford is still blown out. about 15 feet of viz and lots of silt and percolation. not worth the swim/scooter/crawl up the river.

pat and i were the only people at any of those sites, which was awsome. we stayed at cathy's, and had dinner in live oak, at the new sushi place in the publics plaza. not the best sushi, but the prices are reasonable and they are open late.

    all dives in bm 108's,
    32% at 3600

    Thanks for the update(s) (SMILE)
We dove Little River this morning (Sunday). Have to ditto your comment. Made it to the dome room easily. Some spots a little silty , but all in all , a great dive.
Did Peacock on Saturday and it was great too ...
