Talked to a cave diver this weekend who got a type 2 hit. They took him to Shands and then flew him to Jax who could not accommodate him and then back to Tally. Dan picked up the whole cost of the flight which ran 49K.

Its depressing about the number of chambers not accepting divers now but Dan will do their best to get you to a chamber that is open. Its was just in Dive Alert about the chambers that have closed.

Why doesn't a medical emergency take precedence over routine care?
Is this a potential legal issue for a future lawsuit?

what needs to happen is for someone to sell the masses discipline free weight loss, or a diabetes remedy by just going to the chamber...outside of that we don't make the cost/benefit analysis.

When i asked german about the medical care in mexico he said it isn't much different than in the U.S. in that the rich get great care, the poor not so much. Google the top ten paying jobs and you'll have your answer.
