So...I have a Bachelor of Science degree and I read Science magazine every month...can I be a scientist too?

    Funny _$$ comment Removed...
The point here is to discuss Wakulla, not comment on a particular group. Thanks for the reminder LH.

It was a joke but it also brings up a serious point. What "research" other than mapping caves has been accomplished? Any scientific papers published?

    http://www.geohydros.com/FGS/index.htm

There's some good info on that site. We're also working with Dr. Tom Sawicki (I think he recently spoke at the Florida Springs Science Symposium event) in regards to his amphipod studies.

Other than flow rates and water mapping? Biology research? But that of course would take someone other than a diver.

    i'm not sure I follow.
Plenty of the divers on the team are scientists. many have published papers. hydrogeology, biology research. I'm not sure what else you're looking for? what else can you do in a cave?

There is currently bio research going on. Dr. Sawicki's project.

Is there something in particular you're looking for? I might be able to help. Most of the research I know about is generally related to hydrogeology.

No doubt some great science is being done there, some good mapping too. I just would like to dive it again, legally this time.

I didn't say there wasn't, I was just wanted to know if actual research was being conducted.
