I really like my Etrex Vista Hcx. The cool thing is it fits like a glove in an old Sony P something camera housing, which I am sure you can pick up for nothing these days on Ebay.

+1 for Garmin eTrex. I didn't need it, but BassPro had knocked it down to a rediculously low price around X-Mas, and it had been updated to a green body casing instead of yellow, but it is the same waterproof unit. Nice for kayak and inflatable boat cave hunting. waterproof to some extent, never flooded yet.

we just bought a garmin eTrex 10... pretty good, user friendly, however I think the numbers we got from tampa diving were not accurate, as we did a muck dive for an hour with no luck finding our hidden hole. The only downer to this gps was there was no reference points or maps... but if all you are doing is trying to find a specific point, this is a great model.
