FYI... to those considering diving Boiling Springs in Texas County (the one you can just walk across the stream to). It is seriously plugged. We had a few folks visit it just recently. They spent some considerable effort trying to move rocks etc to get in, but had to give up. Seems with every rock moved, more would just fall in. The effort was abandoned. I believe following some severe flooding, a lot of large rocks were pushed into the opening, which is now causing some serious rate of flow coming out of there. If you go, take a lot of people ready to spend some time moving lots of rocks.
I dove Roub last on Aug 30, one day before Isaac hit. It was some of the vis I have seen there in many years. Flow was almost nill. I'm not surprised to hear that surface conditions look good. We didn't get that much rain in comparison to how low the water tables are around here - we're in drought conditions not seen in 80+ years. My further guess is that even with a little more rain, it will still be diveable - just not sure how vis will be affected.
