Default WEATHER LOOKING ROUGH FOR CAVE COUNTRY THIS WEEKEND

Looking at the news, the hurricane looks like its curving to the northeast, and N. Florida might get some high winds and rain which might put a damper on diving this weekend.

    Default well ......

there is one thing for sure, with such weather no tubers or swimers around and you cannot beat that.

Human Evolution makes me wonder: from HomoErectus to HomeSapiens, from Dry Caves to Wet Caves. Nevertheless, from HomoErectus to HomeSapiens, from Org. Caves still to Org. Caves! DAMN ...

Well, it is not looking good even without the Hurricane Dennis. It has rained at least 7" of rain here in the last two days and it is pouring outside now as I post so it is not looking good. It takes a couple days for Ga. water to hit Fl. but Ga. has been hammered with rain all week so lets pray the huricane weakens, and hits farther west than N. Fl.

Unfortunately, some of us will get hammered by Dennis on Sunday or early Monday. There's about a 75% chance that Dennis will make landfall at Pensacola as a Cat III, and about a 25% chance(these are my own guesstimates) that a trough will develop in the Gulf and cause Dennis to hook around it into a more easterly direction, taking a path fairly close to the same as Charlie did. In either case, it won't be pretty. Hang on to your hats folks, this is shaping up to be another nasty hurricane season.

No, I'm not a TV weatherman......I would have to forget 95% of my weather training to be qualified for that.

Dove Devil's yesterday.....river's coming up fast, the tarp's in place and the flow is dropping. Sean and I (Happy B-day dude!!) easily swam to the back of the Split with a single stage. Will update tonight...

    Safe diving,

Thanks Rich. Let me know if it's worth coming up tomorrow or not. Otherwise, I am off Wed. next week if you and Rob want to go diving. Also, I had sent you guys a shipment of pendants two weeks ago, and Wayne said they never showed, so we will send another to you as soon as we get more made. We insured them, so it wont be a problem. Talk to you later,
    John
