Cold isn't all bad. The sink at Jailhouse in MX feels like warm pee and has the color of baby $hit on top of zero viz if you aren't the first one in. I'll take cold and clear (>/= 1 ft viz) anytime.

They started using deep well injection in MX, several years ago now. Carwash was closed for a period of time because of the bacteria levels so it just might very well be baby $hit.

It's bad luck to be superstitious.

... who considers low 50F(and even upper 40s at times) water warm though?

Well, considering that I did all of my trimix training dives in Tobermory Canada with bottom temps at 38*

FYI, Martz Tunnel to main line was about 20' of vis. Just a bit cloudy. Get to the main line and Madison is cobalt blue all the way through Rocky Horror to the Courtyard. On the way out, when you cross the jump to martz it turns cloudy, probably 30' vis all the way to the exit. That was on Saturday.

You would be suprised how warm 48*-50* feels after spending time at 38* it's like bath water...for awhile.

That's my wife Tracy with Forrest - they had just finished a dive to the Dropoff. (I was doing a day of "surface support" with a back injury flare-up - back in the water today, though. Great dive at Jug!)

TJ came by with his camera and took the picture - then Tracy pulled out her slate and wrote: "Congrats! You've just had your picture taken with Miss Rodeo Vermont 1981!" They got laughing, and from the surface it looked like somebody was having a free flow.
