Out of Hydro. I will be at Ginnie Springs the week of 19th-25th of February.
Price is for both cylinders.
Are they luxfers? What is the original hydro date? What color?
Jcbrown just returned my call. These tanks are 1985 original hydro.
Who made them? If they are anything other than Catalina tanks, they will be 6351-T6 alloy tanks.

In general, I'm probably as non predjudiced as oit get with regard to 6351-T6 tanks. I am of the opinion that if properly inspected, they are safe to use, but I qualify that for mixes other than high perceptage O2 deco mixes. There have been a couple of instances where 6351-T6 alloy tanks have been associated with tank explosions when filled with O2 and then dropped or other wise mis used.
It's not clear whether the same events would have happened with 6061-T6 alloy or not, but incipent sustained load cracks may have played a role.
AL 40s sold in cave country are going to get used with O2, so I am in total agreement that 6351-T6 aluminum alloy tanks should be turned into wind chimes, regulator displays or recyled into beer cans.

Pools guys prefer the 6351 alloy. They only fill them with 2000 psi and they last for several hole inspection trips. Best of all, they get them free.
That's where my 50's went. I can still get them hydroed and filled, just not with O2 unless I do it myself.
