I think this Dr K may be the Dr. who spoke out against diving Wakulla at the meeting, based on we would be getting bent?

No one is advocating that IWR take the place of an available chamber with competent staff. Well., no one publicly. There will always be someone who may use it to treat DCS rather then to mitigate damage at a distant site or while waiting for transport to show-up.
It could be a helpful tool to be used, not abused.
"Is this thing on?"
I have a full face mask, IWR tables and jury rigged a oxygen ambu bag set up for a scuba tank. I feel I have an obligation to be prepaired when inviting guests to dive with me. It won't do any good if someone is that bad but at least I will feel that I tried.

Assuming IWR isn't to be attempted, anyone know the recommended flow rate in liters per min. of O2 if a regular medical mask is used for someone out of water? I'm asking as it seems prudent to at least have a couple of hours supply of pure O2 in the event of an accident and I'm trying to figure out the tank size, I have an O2 regulator used for aviation purposes and a mask, but it fits on a CGA 40 valve. If say an LP 108 is big enough and if I can find a CGA 40 valve that would fit a Scuba tank I think it might be a good idea to have that on the boat with the idea of putting someone on O2 for the trip back to the marina and an ambulance.
I have ET tubes and blades. Also have a regulator set that can be connected to one of the 2 AL80s full of O2 that I always carry in my van.
8-10 LPM for a regular O2 mask. It's easy enough to get the fittings to build a regulator that can attach to a DIN valve.Originally Posted by a64pilot

This month's DAN magazine has an article about the dwindling number of chambers in the US that will treat DCS. As expected, it's all about the money...
