That has been my experience.
An interesting comparison is between the two types of cylinders I use in open water, PST LP-80s and Faber/Scubapro LP-95s. The 80s are about six pounds lighter, but are way more negative in the water. (Which makes sense, because hot-dipped galvanizing is way heavier than zinc spraying.)

Trans pacs are very adjustable. Im 150 lbs and can still wear a large.
