Default A dive in Cenote Chan Hol

A little disappointed that the old bones have been removed, but we still had a great time that day.

I was sorry to discover the bones were gone, too, but at least the pots are still there, and the cave is still beautiful and great fun to dive.

I enjoyed the video, and thank you so much for the captions that orient the watcher to where you are in the cave. So many videos don't have any information to orient the watcher -- sometimes it's hard to know where the divers are, even if you know the cave pretty well. It makes it much more enjoyable to have some kind of location information on the film.

Thanks for the kind comments. There is definitely a lot to cave to explore here. We went right at the second T on our first dive (unfortunately I didn't take the camera) and it is gorgeous over there. Very decorated...unbelievable patterns on the floors. I'll definitely keep going back there to dive. We noticed on the map that there is a section named "Mr Furry Balls". I'll have to ask what the story is behind that the next time I'm down.

Thank you for the video. Yet another cenote I'd like to visit.

Great video. I really enjoyed watching it.

Did you hire a cave guide during your trip?

No, we've been going down to Mexico for a number of years and know our way around a little bit. We usually dive with Dennis Weeks, but I always try to bring students down for him to teach (I'm a good customer that way). The rest of us just go dive.
I will say this, for those that have never been and want to see cool things, hire a guide. They can show you where all the bones and pottery are, as well as where the cenote entrances are.
