    Default FS: 2 Steel 100s

    Tank #1

    I believe is a sherwood steel 100 w/ a Sheerwood 6300 din valve 3500 psi
current hydro 4/10 needs a new VIP last one done just over a year ago

    Tank #2

    I believe is a worthington steel x7 100 w/ a Thermo Pro Din Valve 3442 psi
Hydro expired on 3/11 and need a new VIP last one done just over a year ago

I have boots for both tanks I have just kept them off to avoid any corrosion. Both tanks have been stored with pressure in them.Click image for larger version

ID:	5275 I have cam bands, weights and snaps on both tanks, I was diving these side mount when I first started cave diving because I was on a tight budget. I really do not know how much these are worth so if you know more about tanks than I do I would appreciate an estimate. Anyways make a deal and I can get them to Cave Adventures in Marriana or you pick them up in PCB.

Just realized I have to post a price for these by the rules. so 250 for the x7 and 200 for the worthington. I understand this may be high so I will consider all reasonable offers.

Check your nomenclature. "X7" and "Worthington" are the same one.

Is no one interested in these tanks because they think they are no good or is it the price?

The price. We used to sell the X7-100s for $229 each new.

Plus the HP cylinders are going down in value because of the funky neck.

    You asked.

I bought new worthington steel tanks in the $230 range as well but that has now been at least 6 years ago.

Steel prices are high in general and current new prices for steel tanks seem to be in the $350 range so $250 is not unreasonable - for a currently hydro tested used x7-100.

I think the issue is that you want $250 for an out of hydro steel tank, especially one with a reputation for failing the first requalification. It is also a steel tank with no VIP in at least a year raising questions of possible internal rust issues.

Get it requalified for service and then relist it at the same price and you will probably be able to sell it.

As for the Sherwood genesis 100, good luck with that one. As Russell states, decent valves and manifolds are hard to find for a 7/8" necked tank, they are more of a pita to inspect, tumble, and every time the exemption comes up for renewal people sweat whether the exemption will be renewed give the PST in and out of bankruptcy/business history.

So is the Sherwood Genesis line of tanks the only ones that came with 7/8ths necks? I have a DOT E9791 3500 psi tank stamped with the PST logo. Is that a Sherwood Genesis tank? I assume the exemption has been renewed since '07, but I have not found explicit confirmation online.
