Get an LED, it'll take alot more abuse, which is usefull in some of those tight little dry caves you like :P

That's what I hear (by hear I mean from you last time Matt haha) and I don't wanna open a can of worms but I heard HID was brighter and better at signaling? Whats the down low on that?

    Here we go again...

Search the forum, there are many long threads on the HID vs LED debate.

Go for the LED. If you actually compare them side by side, you will notice a slightly brighter tint and narrower beam to the HID. But if you just look at the LED by itself, you will think it is plenty bright and sharp enough. It isn't about comparison, its about whether you have enough light. Now compare them side by side each time the HID bulb breaks and costs you another $150. No contest.

Compare a Chevy and a Ferrari side by side, and the Ferrari will win every time. But both will get you back and forth to work (or diving). The Ferrari will cost more to maintain and need service more often, but it will get you to work 3 minutes faster. If that's worth it to you, get the HID.

    Just my $0.02.

I've been diving HID since they came out. I've yet to replace a bulb. Weird.

I replaced 2 in one week. That's when I switched to LED. Go figure.

Thanks for your input kwinter and superlyte.I'm definitely leaning to the led... How long does the head last on one/ will their ever be a need to replace it?
