2005 Scooter Race Trophy

Folks,

with a "Big Crowd" of people expected at Ginnie for the Holiday, and talking with the staff at Ginnie, if we are going to race, it will have to be at 8:00AM The race was originally set for 9, so the gun will have to go off at 8 or we might have to cancel and I know we don't want to do that. After the race, we can go get the keg, and I am going to Sams probably Friday Night.

See EVERY CONTESTANT, suited up in full cave gear, and in the water for a 8:00 AM START TIME. If you're late, you snooze, you lose!

We need to be at the 0ffice at 8 am when they open to sign pay and sign our waivers. The race will begin as soon as all contestants are in the water.

What kind of coarse is going to be set up?

I'm not setting up the course, so I don't really know. Last year it started and finished at Little Devils. The turn around was at Devils Ear and it was a solo timed course.

The race will begin at "Little Devil" and go up the run around the dive ball at Devil's Ear and back, then you need to load your gear and head to Daytona to be entered in the "Firecracker 400!" 8)

We have a 2005 Scooter Champion!

Rob (Lastname?), won the scooter race by one second!

Rob says "it was too easy, with no real competition". Robs says a lot of thanks goes to his sponsor, Bill Rennaker, for lending him the scooter.
