Unhappy Lost dive logs after Orange Grove

A few of us were at Orange Grove this Friday, Vet's day (11/11/11), parked in the center island of parking spots. I'm almost positive that I had my green paper folder that held my two log books, tables, and cave system maps on my way home but the folder is nowhere to be found. These are all of my 150 dives since o/w training with detailed comments for each dive so I'm really bummed that they disappeared. Just in case, holler if anyone found 'em.

This really touched my heart... I love my dive log and I think I would cry if I lost it. My puppy got ahold of my most recent one and left a few teeth marks and it is the first time I ever really yelled at him. I hope you find it : \

I keep telling myself to copy mine, but I never seem to get around to it. I don't take it out of my house anymore, because part of it is over 40 years old. I didn't keep a log the first 10 years I was diving :-(

Maybe this will make me copy mine!

My logbooks NEVER leave the house. If a dive boat needs to see one, I'll photocopy the last twenty dives.

Have you tried calling the park ranger? Try 386-776-2184. Good luck!

Everytime I hear about something like this I'm glad I keep a full electronic log that I can email back ups to myself

    Good luck!

If you have a digital camera, with macro focus (everything except the cheap Wal-mart cameras) it would only take a few minutes to photograph each page of the logbook, and store the images on your computer. You should be able to snap images almost as fast as you can turn the pages.

I would have done the same thing, if they had computers when I started diving, (nevermind email)

True, but you still have to actually DO it

I'm assuming you didn't log dives for the first 10 years because they didn't have paper yet?
