I'm in and out of cave country for most of November conducting research dives (under a DEP permit) at Peacock and Madison. The goal of the study is to understand how river intrusion during floods affects caves and the surrounding aquifers. Between November 8 and 10 (and maybe 11), I'll need to do a series of dives at both sites to install tubing for long-term water sampling, to make 'maps' of water chemistry in Peacock and also to collect some samples. If anyone is available to help, either as a dive buddy for me, or to help run sensors through different parts of the cave, I could really use the help. I have to make a quick run back to the University of Texas around the 14th-18th but will be needing a buddy/volunteers for other dives between the 21st (ish) and the end of November. Please send me an email at gulley dot jason at gmail if you're interested in helping out.
