Has anyone been to The Nest in the past week to provide a condition report?

I went the Eagles last Friday. The roads were almost dry and fairly easy to navigate. Watch out for branches and logs in the road. I removed some on my last trip.

The visibility in the basin was 10' - 20', the chimney was 10’, 20’ – 30’ in the cavern and 40’ upstream.

The upper layer of water in the pond was about 85 degrees and the surface water has algae mats floating around. You can see some pictures from Friday in the Photo Gallery under Florida Caves.
