Intro to cave...exploration

Just out of curiosity, if an intro to cave diver is laying line in an unexplored cave, is he actually violating any rules? How is it any different than laying a primary to the gold line...that is 1200' away? Provided they stay within 1/6's etc.

I don't think you could get to 1200' at jb on 1/6th. As far as violating the rules? Yes because that would constitute exploration.

When the flow is down its very possible if you have a decent RMV, in the past I made the 2nd T on 1/6ths.

IMO that is kind of like a beginner surfer paddling out at 10ft Pipeline with a longboard.

I swam to the stop light with a stage but was pretty close to being able to do it on 1/3's of my 95's alone.

I would say that's pretty variable... a 20' average depth syphon will get you a lot further on 1/6's than a 95' deep fire hydrant.

I think the average person could probably get 800-1000' in a 50-60' deep low flow system in double 104's

Yes, but could you get back out?

In Peacock (low flow) around 1000' with a good SAC rate. In Devil's Eye (high flow) around 500' (same SAC rate).

Didn't know that was an intro stipulation. replace that with stagnant flow then
