Question Accessibility of Cypress, near Vernon

Years ago, My husband and I used to go to Cypress Spring near Vernon,Fl. Has anyone been there lately? It was a private campground back then - does anyone know what the accessibility is now?

My gear is ancient (do still have a functioning Conshelf IVX) so this trip is on two wheels with snorkels only..... ....

    Thanks for any input!

Appears to be accessible. Check caveatlas.com, click the US flag, then scroll down to cypress.
    There are recent condition reports.

Cypress Spring is surrounded by private property approximately 3.5 miles (5.6 km) northeast of Vernon. From the intersection of SR 79 and SR 277 in Vernon turn east then northeast on SR 277. Drive 2.2 miles (3.5 km) to Culpepper Lane. Turn northwest (left) on Culpepper Lane and go 0.3 miles (0.5 km) to Big Pine Lane. Turn northwest (left) and go 0.2 miles (0.3 km) to the boat landing. The spring can be accessed by boat. From the Big Pine Lane boat ramp, Cypress Spring run enters Holmes Creek from the northwest approximately 0.5 miles (0.8 km) upstream.

Gotta take a boat/canoe(jetskis not allowed on Holmes Creek). No more land access is allowed as the water companies bought up the property and closed it off.

Prettiest basin ever, neat little cavern, almost no cave to speak of...

Went there with a group last weekend, and our divers were the only ones there (there were two kids snorkeling and a dog)

Is the spring still blowing like a fire hose?

Flow is down, but still significant.

    Default Cypress spring

Thanks to everyone for their responses... Beautiful photos Benderr! We usually find someplace to 'trespass' on our anniversary - guess this year will be no exception.

No need to trespass. Just rent a canoe at the little park on hwy 79 and Holmes creek. They drop you off at the boat ramp right next to cypress spring. Enjoy your dive then it is an easy paddle back to the park at hwy 79. If i remeber right it is about 1 1/2 hours downstream. Seemed like it was $25 to rent the canoe. I am not sure but I think the canoe rental place is called Holmes Creek canoe livery.
