Can you give out some pertinent info on the DPV? Specifically: How old is it? How many dives it's been used? Ever put in salt water? Original batteries? Rewound motor (faster RPM)?
I assume that is the black nosecone in the background. It looks like a fronkensteen build but for that price and those questions of mine answered you will probably find a buyer quickly... namely, me. This looks like a good backup scooter.

It's common for Mako scooters that are rebuilt to end up with new nose cones rear bodies or mid bodies to get mixed and matched and end up mulitcolored as the older original colored parts are no longer available.

That's potentially a good sign if the rebuild is recent as the Mako's achilles heel is the fragile o-ring grooves and the mid body and rear body run about $200 each to replace.

I bought it 3 years ago from a tampa cave diver. it had new battery, orings, etc., then. I've not changed a thing. never in salt water. it's voyager nose cone, black with a clear acrylic plate in the nose. there's a 3 lb weight in nose that helps and a spare oring. the charge-state light indicators on the body still work. as far as I know never been flooded, and when I got it there were no signs it had been. runs great. never have had any problems. motor has been rewound, or so I was told when I bought it.

that's a red techna next to it. i'd sell it for $450.00. older. slower, but still running strong.

The Mako runs great, Skip! I took it for a spin last night on the way to Mainland along with my other Mako. I didn't expect there to be a charger included so that was just gravy for the sale.
    Thx

i forgot to mention the charger and the spare o-ring too. plus the weight for the nose. glad you like it. hard for me to give up, but three scooters plus the conversion kit for one (uv26-uv18), was getting a bit crowded in the house.

Yeah, it was/is a great scooter. I was tempted to hang onto it as a backup/spare, but it seems like our house gets smaller every year (the kids get bigger, but don't seem interested in moving out - well they do, but then they keep coming back!).
